Finding Your FTP Login Information

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a way of transferring files between computers / servers.

When you want to transfer files to or from your computers / servers, you will need an FTP Client.  There are many FTP Clients available that you can use.  Some FTP Clients are free - for example:  Notepad++, FileZilla, etc.  And, some FTP Clients will cost - for example:  Dreamweaver.  Whichever FTP Client you choose, you will need your FTP login Iinformation. 

To find your FTP login information, you'll need to log in to your Iowa-Host Account Portal.

Then, go to your cPanel.  (You can access your cPanel by following these instructions.)

Once you are in your cPanel, you'll find your ftp connection details within 'FTP Accounts'. 

Your specific ftp information is located at the bottom of the page and will give you details on how to set up the connection through whichever ftp account you use.
