Connect to your FTP server via NotePad++FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a way of transferring files between computers / servers.

When you want to transfer files to or from your computers and servers, you will need an FTP Client.

Notepad++ is a free FTP Client.  It is a software application that runs on the Windows operating system and was designed to be used as a source code editor that supports several coding languages.

Download and Install Notepad++:

You can download and follow the installation details on the Notepad++ Official Website:

Once you have Notepad++ installed, you'll need your ftp connection details so that you can successfully transfer your files.

Find Your FTP Connection Details:

Log in to your Iowa-Host Account Portal.

Go to your Control Panel.  (Access your Control Panel by following these instructions.)

Once you are in your Iowa-Host Control Panel, you can find your ftp connection details by going to 'FTP Accounts'.  Your specific ftp information is located at the bottom of the page and will give you details on how to set up the connection.  Click on the 'Configure FTP Client' Information.
